Social Media is getting bigger all the time.
Social media, marketing, brand recognition, press releases, email campaigns, and just about all means of digital communication are part of every business today. In fact, I would like to go one step further and say that it is next to impossible to succeed in business without all of the above. Herein lies the dilemma, how do you have time for anything but communication and social media when you are in business? If you spend all your time promoting your business you will not have time to develop your product. There are many issues involved with promoting a business the correct way. If you are not sure of how to do it chances are you will make many mistakes before you get it right. There are many things to learn. Should one use video’s or stills? What size should the photo’s be. Each social media is different. How about the number of characters you are allowed to use and the length of blogs? What you need to learn is endless and always changing.
Do you have a marketing plan?
For one thing you need a marketing plan. It is a common mistake to neglect to figure out exactly how you are going to market your business when you are in the planning stage. That can be a deadly mistake. Like it or not, this is a digital and mobile society. The numbers are the proof. Simon Kemp wrote a terrific article titled, ” Digital, Social Mobile Worldwide 2015. ”
According to the report which covered statistics from over 240 countries around the world and included a population of 7.210 billion, it revealed that social media is here to stay. Check out what the statistics uncovered.
- 3.010 billion people are active internet users.
- 2.078 billion are actively using social media
- 3.649 billion are cell phone users
- 1.685 billion people have active mobile social accounts.
Social media in the digital world is growing bigger every year. Imagine the possibilities.
Now can we all agree that every company needs to be digitally active in promoting their business and brand? However, that brings us back to the same old question, how do you have time to do all of that and run a business as well? The answer to that is simpler than you may think and definitely affordable when you think of what you stand to gain. Hire an expert to do it for you! You are probably thinking you cannot afford to hire a marketing firm or a social media professional. That is what were going to talk about today with Jessica Chesler from Conceptual Communications on Never Say Impossible Radio.
