Babies come into this world in the same fashion ever since the beginning of time. They arrive naked, innocent, and on a mysterious mission that only they will discover during their visit. A child enters this world bearing gifts to share with those who gave them life. They have an innate desire to give generously and to love openly.

Whether they are black, white, red, or brown on the outside, they are all the same on the inside. Why then do we see such a difference simply because of their appearance? We judge and criticize on simple imperfections. We allow our bigotry and bias to influence our opinion.  Without guilt we carelessly toss their gifts away with a reckless abandonment.

The newborn should be treasures to those of us who have arrived here before them. Their mysterious mission is unknown to us and will only be revealed during their visit. Those of us who are wise will freely accept them equally without judgment or division. Our responsibility is to share our wisdom, compassion, and love with each and every child; they are our future as we are their past. We are all visiting, but the gifts we carry and share with others during our stay will remain long after we are gone.
