The Divine, Spiritual, and the Occult
Why are we so interested in the unknown? When you really think about it, life is still a mystery regardless of what science or religion has to say about it. We seem to have an innate interest and fascination with things that are unfamiliar. In many ways, the unknown is magical or even fear producing. As humans, we love solving mysteries. Our obsession with weird or peculiar beliefs has created a playground for Hollywood. Some of the most popular shows on television for the last 50 years have to do with witches, zombies, vampires, UFOs, Angels, even genies. It is also exciting, exhilarating, and chilling.
We have a profound interest in magic. We love martial arts movies about people who fly through the air. How many people have read Harry Potter books and have been fascinated by the magic within the pages?
We also have a healthy interest in the occult, black magic, and Satanism. My hair stands up on end when I read about individuals who actually practice black magic. The age-old question still exists, is any of this real or is it superstition?
Today on Never Say Impossible Radio, we have a guest, Heather G Eaton, who has studied the mystical side of life for over a decade. The information she amassed was so powerful that she decided to put it together and create an extremely unusual encyclopedia.

About Heather G Eaton:
Born in San Francisco, California in 1964 Heather G. Eaton lived her first years in the Bay Area. Her family then moved to Terre Haute, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1973 her parents joined the Peace Corps and were sent to Valdivia in Southern Chile. She also lived in Ecuador and Bolivia and in 1978 she moved to Santiago, Chile where she spent the next 25 years working and raising a family. In 2003 she returned to the Bay Area where she currently resides.
Heather was raised by scientists in an atheist environment and had little interest in spiritual matters. In her 30’s she suffered a serious foot injury which left her in a wheelchair for several months. Having been an avid reader her whole life she turned to more spiritual interests. She started taking notes to help her understand what she was learning. These notes became a journey of discovery and research that after 10 years became her labor of love, The Encyclopedia of The Divine, Spiritual and Occult.
