Are you able to keep your cool when everything around you seems to be heating up?  Keeping a levelhead in the middle of a dilemma is a special personality characteristic that I admire.  When I was a kid,  I remember a particular saying that became very popular amongst my friends for a while.  It was rather simple but very meaningful.  Actually it was only six words.  Six extremely powerful words..   ” Never let them see you sweat”.  That say’s a lot in a few words.

There are some people that might argue and take the position that allowing others to see your vulnerability is endearing.  However, a great leader, coach, instructor, speaker or professional of any kind does not come apart when everything else is falling apart.  It is quite the contrary.  It is during times of stress and pressure that  true leaders step up to the plate and you see real strength and leadership.

Caroline Gavin is a very gifted talk show host.   During my visit as  a guest on Caroline”s Internet radio show, Purposeful Pathway, out of the blue, or should I say out of cyberspace, we began to have connectivity problems.  My call dropped not once but twice.  Technology is great when it works.  When does not…don’t lose your cool!  While I scrambled to get back online, Caroline was so gracious and so gifted that she carried the presentation until I was able to reconnect on two different occasions.  I want to say  thank you to Caroline and recommend her show on blog talk radio.
