KELLY RABBITT
Beautiful, talented, and a survivor!
Our guest, Kelly Rabbitt , is a young woman who developed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder just as she was entering college. P T S D is a lot more common than most people realize. We have been educated to understand that many VETS experience this highly challenging emotional disorder. However, it is possible to be working or interacting with someone who is struggling with this condition and you and everyone else are totally unaware that something is wrong. It is an invisible disorder, but as painful and life altering as a visible physical condition can be.
So many of us experience traumatic situations in our life ranging anywhere from an accident, a physical assault, or a life-threatening illness which leaves us with recurring anxiety and fears when triggered by something that reminds us of what we experienced.
P T S D can wreak havoc in your life, especially if it goes untreated. PTSD is often intertwined with additional disorders, such as depression, substance abuse, problems with memory, and other issues of physical and mental health.
There is good news, if you or someone you love is struggling silently and in pain from PTSD, it can be treated and managed so that a rich fulfilling life can be achieved. This is wonderful news.
