Bullying can take many forms.  It is most commonly thought of as verbal abuse, threats, and in some cases physical violence. It can happen in a variety of places such as schools, the household, the military, or even the work place.

Bullying is a common practice in human behavior, however in today’s world because of how quickly information is spread through the Internet, it’s more prevalent then ever and everyone is aware of it. Cyber space has made the practice of verbal abuse extremely easy through text messaging.  The big question is why we feel the need to bully another person in the first place. Why do we enjoy such a cruel practice.  Could it be directly related to the desire to have power? Our society is driven by the desire to have power. We see in the government, big business, in the military, in personal relationships and it is commonly practiced in the contact sports we all love.  Somehow it seems innately programmed into our DNA leaving us all asking what we can do to control the problem.
